Moringa Soup Recipe

Moringa soup is a nutritious and flavorful soup made with moringa leaves, a type of leafy green vegetable native to parts of Africa and Asia. Moringa leaves are high in protein, vitamins, and minerals and have a mild, slightly bitter flavor. Here is a simple recipe for moringa soup:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup chopped moringa leaves
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the broth and water and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the chopped moringa leaves. Simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the leaves are tender.
  • Season the soup with salt and black pepper, to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro, if desired. Serve hot.

You can also add other vegetables, such as carrots, peas, or potatoes, to the soup for additional flavor and nutrition. You can also add protein, such as chicken, beef, or beans, if desired. Enjoy!
